The Investment Casting Bootcamp is a four-day, hands-on, workforce development learning experience where participants will learn the fundamentals of small-scale investment casting and be introduced to numerous additional engineering topics. During the bootcamp, participants will create their own custom designed pieces and take their designs through the entire manufacturing process from concept to finished product.

The METAL program aims to reverse the decline of the U.S. casting and forging workforce while inspiring a new generation of metallurgical professionals. Guided by industry and faculty experts, students gain valuable insights and open doors to careers in metalcasting and forging.

METAL boot camps offer an unparalleled opportunity to dive deep into the world of metallurgy. These one-week intensive programs, hosted on college campuses, are designed to ignite a passion for forging and casting in the next generation of innovators and builders.

Led by the Institute for Advanced Composites Manufacturing Innovation (IACMI) and supported by the Department of Defense, METAL aims to empower individuals and engage them in the field of metallurgy.
